“USP’s Donor Recognition Program would like to recognize Medichem for its contributions during the 2018 calendar year” Says Ronald T. Piervincenzi, Ph.D. USP Chief Executive Officer.

This program recognizes new and modernized monographs that were published in one of USP’s forums or were posted to USP’s website for comment, as well as those reference material donations that have been released as USP Reference Standards.

Medichem has worked extensively with the USP on several products by providing material and comments to the proposed monographs since 1987, and has thereby become a Gold-level donor.

The United States Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) is a nonprofit scientific organization founded in 1820 in Washington, D.C., that develops and disseminates public compendial quality standards for medicines and other articles (Bylaws, Articles II, and VII). USP’s mission is “to improve global health through public standards and related programs that help ensure the quality, safety, and benefit of medicines and foods.” USP’s primary compendia of standards are the United States Pharmacopeia and the National Formulary (USP–NF).
