Process Optimisation
Projects coming out of early development require process R&D to make larger quantities of materials. While adequate for smaller scale a process may not be economic, reproducible or safe for the next scale of production. The Medichem development team can create a new, scalable process, or improve your existing process to allow optimised production.

Scale-Up and Process Development are key contributors to the added value we bring to our clients. Our goal is to develop scalable processes that are safe, robust and economic for you.
Medichem’s process development team guarantees a seamless transition from lab through pilot plant up to large scale manufacture. Our team is equipped with state-of-the-art analytical systems to ensure the processes are as efficient as possible. Medichem utilises its own proprietary model to optimise response time, lead time and cost-effectiveness - all aimed to putting your product on the fast track to the market.
Production- Our Technical Infrastructure and Equipment
Medichem produce APIs and key intermediates from laboratory scale up to commercial quantities. We have two production and scale-up centers, one in the northeast of Spain built up in 1980 and the new Malta production facility. Both sites are multi-purpose facilities with full adherence to the cGMP practises, using criteria that are highly flexible and adaptable to the customers’ requirements.
